EGO is part of an international manufacturing business called CHERVON, which was first established in 1994 by a man named Peter Pan. The company brought us the first-ever line of cordless battery-powered outdoor equipment.
In 1994, CHERVON Power Tools was founded as an international trading company in Nanjing, China. By early 1997, the company was still strictly a trading company but started to invest and build a testing center to better understand product quality. By 1999, CHERVON opened its first fully owned factory and set up its own power tools manufacturing system. The company experienced the fasted growth in history and quickly became China’s biggest power tool manufacturer.
In 2006, the company opened its first CHERVON Industrial Park for core parts manufacturing and production systems. This move further launched the company to the top as a power tools manufacturer and made its reputation as one of the highest quality manufacturers in China.
In 2007, CHERVON built its R&D Center in Nanjing to future itself as a leader in research and innovation. During this time, the company also entered into a joint venture with Bosche for bench tools.

EGO’s Limited Service Warranty protects consumers against material defects or workmanship issues from the date of original retail purchase. The company offers free repairs on any defective product for the length of the limited warranty period. Warranties are non-transferable and are only applicable to the original purchaser.
Reconditioned or factory-certified products have a 1-year limited warranty for residential purposes and a 90-day limited warranty for professional or commercial use. Routine maintenance parts, such as but not limited to, ride-on mower seat, wheels, tires, anti-scalp wheels, brake disc, friction block, blades, trimmer heads, chain bars, saw chains, belts, scraper bars, rubber paddles, augers, skid shoes, blower nozzles, and all other EGO accessories have a warranty period of 90-days for residential use and 30 days for professional, commercial, or industrial use when used in normal working conditions. Renting out the equipment will void these warranties.
Battery models BA5600T are BA6720T have extended warranties of 5-years for residential use and 1-year for commercial use if registered within 90 days of purchase.
